Just a reminder to all players is that you are expected to be at practices 15 minutes prior to start time and 30 minutes prior to game time. This will enable you ample time to get your gear organized and receive last minute coaching instructions. Thank you.
New this year is that all Door Personnel during games, either exhibition, regular season, or play-offs must complete an on-line certification module & test which is located at the following link;
Door Personnel Module and Test
Existing certified coaches do not need to do this extra component, but they must ensure that their coaching number is also indicated on the scoresheet.
Thank you.
Children's Fitness Tax Credit Receipts
As many of you know, the goverment now provides a fitness tax credit which allows parents to claim a maximum of $500 per year for eligible fees paid for each child who is under the age of 16. The credit is calculated by multiplying the eligible amount by the lowest marginal tax rate. This works out to about $77.50 per child if you claim the $500 maximum.
For more information about this program, please refer to the Canada Revenue Agency's webpage on the Children's Fitness Tax Credit:
http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/fitness/
"The year in which the tax credit can be claimed is determined by the date when the fees are paid, not when the activity takes place."
"Eligible programs include ongoing classes (a minumum of eight weeks duration with a minimum of one session per week)"
