Welcome Team Managers! 💚🖤

Thank you for stepping up to support our players, coaches, and families. Your time, enthusiasm, and commitment make a huge difference — without volunteers like you, our club simply couldn’t run. We truly appreciate everything you do to help make the Burnaby Lacrosse season a success.

We know it can feel a little overwhelming at first, but you’re not alone. This Manager Handbook is designed to be your go-to resource throughout the season. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to help manage your team — from communication tips and scheduling to tournaments, volunteers, and more. If you have any questions along the way, please reach out to any member of the Executive Team — we’re here to help.

The Role of a Team Manager

Managers are a vital part of every team. You coordinate the off-floor details that keep things running smoothly and act as the key link between coaches, parents, and the club. This support allows coaches to focus on what they do best — developing players and fostering a love for the game.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Sharing updates and information with families

  • Coordinating tournaments and exhibition games

  • Organizing team volunteers

  • Managing fundraising and sponsorship initiatives

  • Planning team events and social activities

  • Communicating with opposing team managers and league officials

Your leadership and organization help ensure that every player — and every family — enjoys a positive, memorable lacrosse experience.

Thank you again for being an essential part of the Burnaby Lacrosse community. We couldn’t do it without you! 🥍
